Final one from the sea wall
I think that after today I'll have a change of theme. It's my day off tomorrow so maybe I'll set up my light box and try some flowers or something else cheerful.
a)i added another layer and used the "multiply" blend mode to give it that dark look b)yes, its a real pool of light they're standing in. i use three alienbee strobe lights, 2 on the side of the subjects and one above and in front of everyone. Also dodged and burned.
For me the composition really helps to pull my eye right into the image and I really like your editing :o) Looking forward to seeing what you and your lightbox come up with tomorrow :o)

Wow...I haven't looked at your PAD for the last couple of days but this is excellent. I like the B&W conversion.
