House Sparrows (passer domesticus)

The good old spadger. Hard to believe but now on the RSPB's red list as a highly endangered species. Bet you can't eat two.

I am back for the time being anyway LOL.

I love the tortoise shots. They are remarkable creatures, when I was little I had a miniature one I wonder what ever happened to it, probably went onto a new home when my folks got tired of feeding it for me.

The Mynah brings back memories of South Africa. These birds became an epidemic and a nuisance there. They came over on the ships apparantly and bred so abundantly that they became a pest, worse than pigeons. The are remarkable in that they can speak so well.

Definitely try to get some more shots of both of these, the DOF is always a problem in low light.

I love the house sparrow too. These common little birds are quite cute. We have lots of them here too. I feed them and the cardinals in the front garden.

See ya.
